I love being outdoors. Some of my most enjoyable and earliest memories from childhood were hiking and looking for critters with my parents and siblings. I recall the excitement of catching frogs and finding my first cecropia moth cocoon in winter. My parents encouraged me to develop my interests and learn about God’s wonderful creation. I have learned a lot about nature and photography and now use this to share my passion.
I currently live in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota with my wife Ronni and our daughter, Maddi. We enjoy spending time outdoors together.

Although I like learning about nature throughout America, I enjoy wildlife native to the northern mid-west the most. I try to visit Minnesota's and Wisconsin's state parks and other wild places as often as I can. Ronni and I have our favorites such as Blue Mounds State Park in Southwest Minnesota, Forestville/ Mystery Cave in SE Minnesota and Banning state Park between the Twin Cities and Duluth. We are always looking for something new and different to see. I love spending time hiking around searching for wildflowers, butterflies, frogs, bird watching, or just about any nature observation.
